Had SUCH am amazing stroll yesterday (I mean today). I've monologued almost the entire time, a passage for the beginning of the second chapter of Goose, in which the lead heroine is off to track down the perpetrator of the golden goose legend and she simply starts in an undefined time, undefined rural place, on a road through forests and fields. No rush. Just the absolute sensation of freedom an namelessness. Remembering how her parents would leave her be like this whenever she felt like leaving them go ahead and she just walked home until she was tired, then she hitchhiked. These days it's different, because the General is uncomfortable leaving her/me like this (and NOTHING could possibly happen, nothing but some really freak accident, like stepping on some really random snake or being bumped by some really random car). Making sure she/I have my phone and something to drink on me. Even though there's a forest creek running alongside the entire track. But he doesn't let me drink water in nature. And I have to call him when I get too heated up and tired (typically about an hour after the road starts being asphalt or if it's narrowing noon.) And there's that element of walking without music and - lo and behold - without camera. This is somewhat a part of my 'a day without screens' diet, though that one never stuck. (Nothing beats slacking the Sunday afternoon playing WoW) That helps me fight the urge to document everything and leave certain things as passing, fleeting memories even, just for myself. 'Mine'. Perfection, eternal and ever changing, a show for an unreliable witness, the memory.
Perfect stroll, really :) General even made me eat ice cream at the end, to cool me down. Course then I slept for 12 hours. But come Monday morning, I'll be freakishly rejuvenated. :))

Pretty fucking amazing :D (Thanks again, Tina). I've known of this concept for a while, I know people have been fooling around with it for quite some time, but I love how this is done: several handsome, elegant women, nothing dirty, nothing slutty... Just.. reading :D
And yes, certainly, I'm bi, but could someone please do this with guys, too?

Heh, I was reading a review of an upcoming show and there's one about a surgeon who is forced to botch the surgery on the US president, or they'll kill her family. I'm amazed how drilled Americans are into worshipping their presidents. Okay, so she's a surgeon and sanctity of life is an issue, but choosing between a president and a husband and children? Seriously? Presidents are a dime a dozen. You off one and four jump up the same DAY. And that's the good ones. In our country if a politician came onto a table, doctors would politely ask their deans if they may castrate them incidentally, during, please?

Awww. Watched Warm Bodies. Not the best movie, though the lines are often really fun (Like when the pack of zombies heads to town to find something to eat and he sighs: God we move slow. This will take forEVER. :))) And the budget seemed to be substancial. (The airport is nicely done.) There's Baby Franko, the other actors are lovely too. The boy who plays R is adorable. All in all a seeable movie of the horror/romance variety as popular lately. (Like, say, Let me in or The Crow...)

Okay, so how do you write something you've been wanting a long time to write, only to find someone's already done it... not better, just ... sooner?
I hate this.
But ink is not a dominion exclusive to the fast and famous. Suck it. I just have to make the story cooler. Then it will be mine.

Star Trek: Into Darness... Kinda ... meh...
It is very spectacular, really really well done, the ship is beautiful (got new engines, new core, new uniforms, the lot) and there's a lot of really impressive shots, mostly of shit being blown up. There is a LOT of people shooting other people. Like, Nyada the Ship's Communication Officer is all over the place shooting people. Two gay super-species dudes fight to death and she beams down to shoot at them. Don't they have, like, security officers to do that? Or are the Star Fleet graduates expected to handle science as well as hardcore martial arts?
Cumberbatch was sublime. His face could sink ships. Literally. There's so much form in that face it actually makes you want to not upset him. cause then he goes really ugly. I could just watch him the whole movie. Just him. Crying, screaming and being beaten. Another cool actor that went from skanky Brit character player into a hunky American villain. We've seen it with Hiddleston last year, now we have Cumberbatch. Kinda makes you wonder (and wipe drool), who's coming up next?
I have NO fucking idea what this was. ZERO. Like, ZERO. That was like the worst casting EVER. No fucking clue who this actress was or why they felt the need to shove her into an otherwise lovely plot. She was awful. Like, January Jones in the X-men First Class awful. THAT awful.
But Nimoy made an appearance again, which was cool. And Bruce Greenwood's character makes Cris Pine's character No. 1 four seconds before being killed to death. Again.

| This scene was so beyond stupid that you start to wonder did this woman's agent pay a million dollars just so she could be in it? |

To novel or not to novel....
I'm trying and trying to write a next novel (in english this time), but my head is simultaneously so crammed by the things I am working on as a must, and so inspired, I keep getting stuck in a twirl. My expectations are so high. I'm reading too many school texts on the subjects, they get me scared and doubting myself. Which is the prime time to start the next book.
Scribbles will rhyme back and forth and say he
tried to look on beauty, but his eyelashes would turn to rust and he tried to
utter kindness, but it split his tongue like acid and out came only belittling
platitudes and petty camp. Well, poets fudge. It’s why we love them. Things are
not that simple. No character, once stripped of the thin paper of their pages,
is ever so entirely unpardonable. Even humans, who tend to be the worst of
species, know this. Violent when even a little scared; always scared, falling
for the slightest provocation; hysterically possessive and gullible to the
point of irony. Even human, wrong men, remembered darkly, had lifetimes of
quiet, right thoughts that nobody was around to put down. Humans favor tunnel
vision. Old school journalists, few bothering to check up what’s behind the
frame are coming fast extinct. So who should judge the Gods so quickly if not
me? It’s my pen, ‘tis not? See - Nyx, the Goddess of the Night and Erebus, God
of Darkness, had four sons. Their firstborn was Death, an agent, procreator of
devoid; he was mighty and arrogant, without compassion in absolute, and very
vain. His confidence and focus inspired all of his younger siblings to strive
beyond even their rigid family’s expectations. He set very high standards for everyone.
Sumnus, the second born, loved to parry him. Their youngest was a god of
forgotten things and didn’t particularly try to compete, but he was the
favorite of Death and was most frightening of them all in Death’s opinion. A
solitary, melancholy boy, who liked no places, no things. They called him Pavo,
though that was probably a mean joke on him that he didn’t get. Only Oneir, or
as some liked to call him, Morpheius, was made of the same thing that people’s
dreams are and people can be extremely creative when given the right thumbs up.
Morpheius liked life for all the colors, shapes and unpredictability. Chaos is
not something a God faces bravely. Yet alone change. Change just pulls their
socks off. A God can go unchanged for epochs. And there you have one who
changed his shape fourteen times before brunch. He may not have been aware of
it, but he liked the stories that came pouring out where there was
consciousness. He liked to build. He liked to morph. He wasn’t very popular
with his family. I don’t have to stress that, do I? Somehow they just wouldn’t
understand that from any darkness, any void, one form of creation or another
always, inevitably explodes, erupts, vomits hatches through.
It
wasn’t the only thing substandard about him. Morphei had a quarter of a dozen
souls. Phantasos was the dreams dreamt by the objects. Dreams do not
discriminate and welcome anyone who should attempt to try them. Phantasos was a
very nice soul. He could whisper songs into the wind so long, the winds circled
the world and in the morning every tree or creek or statues knew them. Morpheius,
Oneiros, was the dream God of people. Oh, how he extolled that fact. He was, if
unsubstantial, aflame with ego. He had a son, Tutu, who judged if his dreams
were perfect. Should people call that part of him the whole Dream, he was fine by
it. Behind them, the eldest soul, Icelus or Phoebetor Perenis, was the
Nightmare. He fathered creeps. He didn’t hold any particular reason or grudge wanting
to inspire nightmares, it was just something he was. In fact he wished,
secretly, that just for once those idiots would notice because something was
ugly, it really didn’t mean that it was particularly evil just for sport.
Wrong men
I'm watching, rewatching and bits of watching Midnight in Paris (I have never seen it start to finish and probably won't, but I am still madly in love with this film.) And I'm thinking about men like Hemingway ... Here he is portrayed so well. He was a handsome dude in RL and probably he really was this bitter and honest and horny. So if someone (looks around innocently) was to meet him and start getting a connection over a cheap glass of red... Even when you KNOW that the guy's life sucked, even if you KNOW he glowed nothing but misery and contempt on everyone around himself... Still. For some fucked up reason, guys like that are publicised as worth it.
Why is that, I wonder? Cause they're smart? Cause they talk well? Cause people like me are creepy crawlies that steal inspiration from great martyrs of literature in the mids of deep dark nights? I have no idea. Ironically, being married to the General, who DOESN'T generate depression in every corner or write toasts to the moon, my work and my life is amazingly great. (I mean it feels great. No idea what others may think about it.) I can write about my pink toe nail polish with the same zeal as I do about rape war-victims I knew, growing up in Yugoslavia.
I'm not sure I'd agree it's good enough if you only get half of that deal.
