Goose update
I've been a good girl (author) these past few days. Working on the pre-written skeleton of the Goose's memoir chapter, I'm down to how Paper and Marowt first meet. So of course I am terribly torn between less-is-more and who did what to whom? Do I want it realistic? Paper talks A LOT when she is scared. Do I want it more like a dream and fantasy? The first meeting takes place in the Midway, there's nothing there but intent. Intent plays a great role in this book. It should be a statement on their own. But damn it to hell, I wrote such catchy dialogue a long time ago and it would be a waste to ... waste.
hang on. I just got an idea. Ummmm... Oh, how I love my brain early Monday mornings!!!
Good morning, morning
Shit one needs to start a good week:
A short video from this crazy honey: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juNbpnG0_CY
A Frankie picker-upper song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55YTRNmgZEI
A Thug note, yo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Nm61IoNdHg
Lotsa good shit to download from what was on during weekend.. Where the *** is the new Penny Dreadful??
A possible cool new show (we'll see): http://io9.com/the-first-trailer-for-constantine-looks-amazing-1574801088
... All this is an equivalent of coffee, which I am not allowed to have. It's water day today... because I spent three hours sipping hot chocolate, reading my Bryson yesterday, mwahahahaha!!
... akhm.

Back, from the wilderness of the Capital. Am super tired but energized to the point of spending another three hours writing up an essay. I got Marki cleaned (though I haven't tested the results yet, too sleepy) and am a proud owner of a new Bryson book (One summer.) It was an almost perfect stay, great company, great food, excellent lectures, excellent elevation of ambition - even the weather was picturesque. Only fucked up issue were my Sunday school shoes, which gave me so many blisters levitating aches. Am considering flippyfloppies. Will post the essay soonish, but first I want to kiss and be kissed into unconsciousness. No amount of sublime ice-cream can console me from sleeping a single night without G. I suppose that's why I never really bother signing up for international seminars and weekend trips to cool places on my own. At some point all I can think about is how much I want him to be here to see me when I am so happy.
Cause these were actually really cool days.

The film seminar
Off to the seminar on movie education in the Capital... I haven't been here so long, that ... Well, lemme tell it like this - the last time I was here, the chairs were still wooden and they rolled late night porn. (And cartoons. Before you starting looking at me weirdly. I watched cartoons. Which is a curious combo, come to think of it..) It has somewhat changed. I feel like I'm in a space centre, watching a launch. There are translators in the booth and a sound technician. I arrived with a backpack and a shopping bag full of things I'll need later on when I have a sleepover. The only way I would look even more out of place is if I would be typing this on a typewriter...
On the way here I passed the national bookstore and my book was in the middle of the shopwindow.. And now I'm sitting in an international film seminar... I can't help but wonder... If I made more effort to go places, participate things, meet more folk... If I'd travel with the big boys enough to feel like I belong? I imagine every single one of these people is really cool and interesting. I feel like my dad must have felt too often, covering this shit. I keep panicking, because I know so litttle :/
Another big city feat - the lunch was great. Okay, so I am on a diet and everything tastes great, but there really was a neat buffet for 200 people. I imagine I should be networking. There are people actually here who recognise me from a long time ago. But I am not much for networking. I sit in the first row and talk to the guests and when they answer, I just sort of feel like it's just us.
I am always at places for the ideas they inspire. Not relations. Relations are something else, empty promises of collaboration and competition of who did what to/for whom. Spare me the 'I make more money than you, doing what you want to be doing.' I don't have to leave my village to have that, if I wanted it. The older women look like they speak French and write lenghtily reviews for important publications, while the younger men look like posh gay Rasputins. Just lemme listen to the lectures. These are really good lectures.
But what I first need is coffee. The lunch was too good. Or I'll be needing a blankie and a neat nap :p

Two ugly moments of the day
When your sister crosses the street when your family is approaching her, so that we wouldn't meet the latest guy she's boinking, you know you've taken some right choices in the past. Because, seriously, what else can you tell the latest model of spring-summer 2014? 'My sympathies'?
Second - Gaiman wrote another Sandman.. Not just because I am writing a mythological Morpheus - Phoebetor fable myself, with intention to make it so good nobody will be able to say it's just a bad reflection but a singular contribution to the genre, powerful and unique, but also - why doesn't that guy just die already? Those novels are a nightmare.
