Introducing Lyra Starbark, age 60 days

Yeeeeah, you'll be getting a lot of pics like these in the future... Poor quality, repetitive subject... Apologies in advance, but f you were in my shoes, you'd do no different :P

The ride home, hugging the gift bowl...
Having to learn a few more rules about posing for photographs (No, no, do NOT eat the camera!)
Theeeere you go. Isn't this the clearest stare you've ever seen on a puppy? It's also a bit angry, because I just put her leash on her...

Ah, well.. The first night is behind us. She has stopped crying to call for her sibling pups and not just kind of yelps when she's manhandling a toy - I think that's the start of howling barks when she's located  prey. I think. may be just as talkative as me... She also farts like a Vesuvius.
After five hours of sleep and seeing for myself how mesmerized the General is (he doesn't know it, but whenever they are communicating, he's smiling. It's SO cute.), she has already chosen her three favorite spots: on her throne (with the big bowl as a pillow), between my feet while I'm typing this - as she can see the bed from here.. and just under the bed where I can reach her if I'm sleeping, petting her tummy nonetheless...

Spoiled little fart. Can't wait to see how General manages to prevent her from jumping onto the bed when she's big enough. Yeah. Like that will happen just because he saw a couple of episodes of Dog Whisperer and does Caesar sounds at her. Hah!

Sis' BD

We put candles on her cake. We are evil :D Then again to think what my own life was like when I was 20 and what it's like now... No, thank you.

Pascal premiere part II.

I KNOW I am lagging. I know. But I'm writing a book and editing the stuff and trying to finish off project before Starbark arrives and it's hot and I'm on a diet and sis' birthday was lovely :D I liked Prince of Persia and I am reading Joanne Harris again, there's just SO MUCH going on! But first things first.

Here's a little something something about a cushy someone everybody s squishing beyond graciousness..

After a long and obviously stressful drive..

And being shown off..

Pinched...

Squished...

Kissed..

Rolled around...

and otherwise "stretching my doggie patience"

...Finally the household of Noot'n'Corr is richer by one very tornado like member...
Bye bye sleep. Bye bye slippers... Hello energizer bunny with teeth.

I wrote a story with old Murphy in it - from when he was still alive. I KNOW... I know that's not meant to happen, but for some reason he's been in my brain lately. Anyhoo.. In the story he is coerced into believing I am better off dead - for him - because it's me who makes him want to die, but of course my big mouth (and a couple of my pancakes) brings me out on top one more time. Poor Council elders - I really cannot be rid, can I? :) Well, no complaints from me on that part.
We have sex. Once. Just to see what it's like. Good, casual sex while it's raining outside. Naturally, by the time everything is over, the whole story, I am getting really sorry for him, but he's been dead for 15 years no matter how greedy I am to save another lost soul in the fish bowl. It's him who gives me the wolf cub that later becomes Starbark and a few hints lead me to believe the dead lord Murphy remembers everything.
In this scene I am trekking the Irish landscape at night, enjoying my solitary summer night and he imposes his company on me, again, trying to get me to tell him HOW exactly I cause his death. We are pass threats here, though and he is finding my company alluring already. Me, on the other hand, really wish to be left out of the whole power play. Sucks to be a part of a short sexy story that can't end well because the antagonist's been defeated when I was way too young to know better.

My Mp3 stopped working, so I dug out an old one I haven't used since having dragged the General though Morocco two years ago... Hah. The music on that one...
How is that called? Audio memory? Lots of songs I know take me either to a place where I heard them first or where I listened to them the most or what I was thinking about when I listened to the,. Example - I cannot listen to metisse's Nomah's land http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnECPE_YwG4 because it was playing when I was making love to Gennonsuke for the first time and that stole this song for ever. Pink's Centerfold http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnECPE_YwG4 on the other hand, even though it's part of the "Gorgonaut" soundtrack, I can listen to indefinitelly. There were also good upbeat tracks such as Alabama3's Too sick to Pray http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcWDZPxpZ-w , Springsteen's radio Nowhere (Always imagive taking a space ship full of soldiers through a wormhole in this one... My brain, eh?) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Gd6EhRRNJc , also from that OST David Gray's Sail Away http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KMUP8oTJ54 , Hurt's Falls appart http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQZcNzftyv4and Sixx:A.M's Life is beautiful, which is... Well. Also "Gorgonaut" state of mind... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJDDxHIaaVk . It's got a lot to do with either the General or Cole. I love Wallflower's God says Nothing Back but cannot pull it away from Dexter.. Alas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeBXgUCUgac

The slightly gloomier Timbaland's Apologize, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePyRrb2-fzs , Shinedown's '45, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6UetUJ_o2U , Royksopp's What else is there http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLpkXtM-VI8 and my divorce music, Damien Rice's 9 Crimes, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgqOSCgc8xc which I also cannot listen again, though it's a marvelous song...

But none of these can match the astouding song by Bobby Gaylor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNVCwdkEYH8 which always knocks me so far off my trail, I can only listen to it once a year or so. Because that song is just... beyond.

Some extras...

And sis's salad delux

Sis made another one of her crazy chicked salads... What that child can do with a bit of garden veggies and a a dead chicken is almost as much magic as what I can do with a few eggs, some milk and oil and flour...

BBQ at the parent's place... in the rain :D

Nobody really cared that it was raining. least of all the cook.  :D The food was too good.
