Lazy day. Been sending mail to myself all day. (Before you judge - I do that with the drafts to make sure they are secure even if lightning strikes my comp.) I made my first milk rice dessert, which turned into four pounds on inedible mush with chocolate on top. Poor dog.
Off to read. Too lazy to do WoW dailies. Too lazy to watch YouTube videos. Downloaded a couple of movies, but too lazy to watch them. To lazy to press 'publish' on this post, also... Oh, no, there it is.
Me: Do you like it when I walk this way, moving my booty sexy like that?
G: No, because that's not you. Your walk is that of a redneck lumberjack in a hurry to get to the bathroom.
Me: But when other women walk moving like that, do you like it on them?
G: .... Yes, you are EXACTLY the one person I am going to talk to about it.

Me: I love you so.
G: Why?
Me: Cause you are statuesque. Why do you love me?
G: Because you are everything else.
O.o
Had a nightmare last night in which my dad was a hatchet murderer in a raincoat and my sister was frozen in a meat truck and cut to look like a christmas tree decoration, hanging from a meat hook, and I tried to warn my neighbours of danger and got cut on broken glass, then stabbed and I woke up ...
... Thinking: Are you kidding me? A cheap jump-scare slasher nighmare that wouldn't get 12% on Rotten Tomatoes?! Come ON, brain! ...

General's line of the week...
Me: Okay, so I'm writing this scene and I'm thinking, it is not possible for someone my size to strangle someone your size, even if you believe you want me to, first because you neck is too thick for my hands to try and crush the larynx and second because you would sooner strangle me... But what if you roll onto your stomach and I sit on you, weighting you down, and pull the head back far enough - could I strangle you then or would you buck me off?
G: And then you wonder why I always come to bed after you're already asleep.

Spent the evening writing a page and a half of speech Paper gives the Two Annes and Spotter when they first arrive in London in 2014...
Then I erased it all and replaced it with:
... Fidi cut me off and told them to simply behave as if this was a disencumbering and outlandish dream.
I hated this. Nobody ever lets me monologue :/
Next week the General is working from midnight to morning. That is going to be a lot of coffee ...

Phew, 100 pages in. Well, not really, I still need to throw out all the adjectives, but I've gotten over the pinnacle that was the Gorgonaut on the timeline, and getting back to reality, which, at least at first, is heavy and bleak.
Looking forward to this ... Macbeth 2015
I've heard some very bad reviews of this movie and some praise, but mostly I think, though not everybody's thing, this type of storytelling appeals to me greatly. The criticism, that the production is awfully cheap, that they live in a TENT, that there is no style of fashion, that the actors mumble all the time... I have a feeling the critics who wrote this didn't really understand what they were in for. Okay, I haven't seen it yet, but the way it's described and from the trailers, I'd say the production wasn't only very expensive but also completely spot-on. The loneliness, the barren wasteland, the fog, the blood-stained future - all of that looks perfect for this story, which is not a story at all but a nightmare. Sure, it can get pretentious and aloof very quickly, and still -the people who praise Kenneth Branagh's Shakespeare interpretations will not like this. Personally I think to each their own - I liked Luhrman's Romeo and Juliette, because it was hysterical and it showed how passions destroy lives; I liked Tom Stoppad's Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead (Hamlet), because it shows how there is nothing you can do to battle fate, there are just too many cogs, and this one looks like a lesson in what happens when you isolate yourself to follow a wanton ambition that can never make you happy, or good, nor safe. The man and his wife screw up masterfully, though of course if I were them, I'd face fuck the three witches for meddling. Or were they an illness of the mind to begin with?
