I have been going through some 'wedding photos' portfolios and I realize that *every* *single* *session* has a picture of the bride having her make-up done by the make-up lady. I used to think I'm inventing the wheel when I shot the preparations almost as much as the ritual itself... Now I am quite embarrassed - and determined that if I ever do it, half of it will be the ritual, a bit the preps and the rest those cool unique captures that make the memory album so unique. My friend Ksenija does unbelievable photo albums, they humble me to the core. As practice, I am trying to now make a story out of every event I catch :)))

Had my first job interview today after eons. My first, since I've decided to thoroughly stop trying to appear as a business woman and behave like a complete freak. It's utterly liberating, especially if someone comes with me (Drey this time, poor gal) and people stop talking to me directly and begin talking to them for help... Though they get more and more interested in me as a result. This can go either way - into a good, productive relationship or they ban me from the building for life. Personally I think it's worth the guts. It makes people seem like cards are down on the table and we can get to work.
Then we went and had super yummy cakes :D

Slept on the new bed for the first time. I am getting quite good at descending it by now, I haven't bruised myself or farted once! It wasn't the *most* comfortable sleeping, because I kept dreaming about cleaning it full of dog hair and being in a William Blake Red Dragon painting during - and worrying the General will roll off and make a hole in the floor as he lands (never mind the bed is two meters wide plus more deck - it is also two meters high) - so I kept holding him to myself and he was sleepy-annoyed because he was tangled into the quilts and me simultaneously. It's a funny feeling, though, sleeping under the ceiling. Kind of makes you want to be even smaller. Though it's a sublime build - once we get used to it, it'll be the coolest bed ever.

I'm getting to the part where I hate almost everything about my book. It's a good sign. It means it's almost done. I'm printing out the first out of two paper drafts - one for for friends and family and once we are done with it, the second, retouched version goes to the beta reader. After that its 'fuck it. I either let it go now or I spend the rest of my lie changing and 'improoving' it.'....
Three people got to it so far - three opinions, obviously. Dad's was the harshest - he even fixed the Shelley poem at the start of Ozymandias! LOL Mum said the interview with Ramses is 'socially and stoically untild'. Whatever the frek that means?! But Drey was a lot more friendly. She just said which parts are boring and I took that to heart. Never forget the stories need to feel like waking up. They need to feel like bits of dreams of memories.... Of someone's else cool life-story. :))

A very fine day
Been a very lovely day. Went on three walks, with three different companies. Super sunny and warm, very late-February like.. I can't wait for spring, but then again I haven't even had the chance to test my uiber posh sled yet! 'Tis supposed to be the season of 50 inches!!!
My new favorite veggie is a zucchini and the word of the day is 'pleperthoria'.*
* Doesn't mean anything as of yet..... :P

Kimi of the 1920's
We did a hasty, impro shoot on the chair by the window, for a commission, and it came out very Great American Depression #1. Once again, Kimi's face proved itself to be amazingly adaptive to my crazy ideas :)) We only had time for one make-up, one pose and one hat :P
Even the General helped, some by holding the reflector and mostly by buying Starbark a new cushion for her to sleep and gnaw on while we were working 8)
