Admittedly, I was nervous as fuck yesterday, trying to organize the shoot and for all intents and purposes, it went as hectically as it went well. With a bit of cruising and towing around the city, we finally met at a pub by the castle and dragged all our gear to the orchard on my family estate. Three dogs satellited us almost non-stop and there's barely a photo without at least some part of some dog in it :D (On a related subject, there's a cool fat beagle/beast in I am No. Four and I almost cried when I thought he died :p)
Four girls - Drey, Ana the pianist, Anja the girlfriend of General's hunting budy's step-son (LoL) and Irina, the Russian violinist, wore the Berni knitwork outfits as lovely as can be. Another, Mojca the neighbor joined us on an impro and proved to also be a very picturesque understudy. We were so ridiculously tired by the end of the day, Drey and I went to have dinner out and nearly dragged ourselves back, tranquilized. Though I had to then edit a bucketful of shots and hope for the best. Contractors are a certain kind of trial.

The orchard photoshoot

A wild shoot today, though I am way to tired to go into details. Will do, will do, eventually, promise. Suffice to say for now, five models (not counting the bitches) and a stylist roamed around the bloomingsdale and we took another lot of over a thousand pickies in an afternoon. I have to get twenty out of it to please the contractor, though at this point all I need to do is snuggle up against my cupcake and get some rest. Tomorrow is another opportunity to make dubious and appetizing decisions :p

 The preparations :)
 The bitches :))

Movies update

Well, okay, not movies. Shows :P
Couple of new shows popped up with the April rain and whereas some were rather cute (Chaos, due mostly to the minute lead we all loved as Gio in Ugly Betty), others were kind of almost-there-but-sorry-if-our-standards-were-raised-by-your-predecessor, (such as Camelot and The Borgians. The amazing thing is that The Borgians lacks sex and blood and is mostly just very dull Jeremy Irons talking clerical politics, and the *Camelot* has more full frontal fucking and mindless bloodshed - and it's about a young Arthur!... It's like watching Xena after the director had a very bad day.) and some are downright outstanding. We were all wondering what the re-make of The Killing will be like, and just as it happens, it is brilliant. The weather, the pace, the camera, the actors, the performances are all there, just as they should be. It's like finally someone knows what they're doing. Michelle Forbes got some extra praise on TV.com and I second that notion, as her role consists mainly of a woman that is waiting in her kitchen (literally) and yet she makes you very, VERY glad it's her and not you who's doing it. She even cleans the kitchen and then she waits and gets good news and tries to relax and then bad news and she tenses up and as we almost know this will end very badly, she makes for one hell of a character to watch, for absolutely zero plot reason. Also, the odd young thing that is the chief detective on the case, played by Mireille Enos, is a scene stealer and I think the whole things has Callum Keith Rennie, I just can't prove it yet :P  General asked me why I watch this sort of human tragedy and I replied quite adamantly: because I wanna be there when they nail the bastard.

On a related note, downside even, I completely skipped Mildred Pierce because despite Kate's full blooded efforts I find it boring and pointless (if it's just to show she's a good actress, we kind of already know that.); couldn't care less about another CSI or CBI or FYI or whatever starring Cris O'Donnel, honestly, and haven't yet had the chance to download the latest SNL with Elton John, though I hear it's surprisingly lovely.
Two other things we are all waiting for - you can never tell if with all this drumroll, the show pilot will mesmerize you (Like it happened with the Living Dead) or simply leave you feeling small and uninspired, like maybe Body of Proof..) are The Game of Thrones (must say it's very clever they went for TV instead of another movie trilogy) and the new True Blood. Will it rule or will it suck? :P

The first thunderstorm of the year :D  I was lucky to witness it while in the countryside, although I did untie the dog from an iron pole and tucked her safely back into the car ere I end up with a crisp puppy falafel....

Sleepy, and am doodling around with the photoshop... I have to wake the General up at midnight, but I don't think I'll manage that long. Can't even tell anymore if the pictures are in focus or not :P
Been a great day, actually. A good walk this morning and another lovely one in the afternoon with the intrepid trinity: I stripped down to my undershirt and splashed around in the river in my sandals, dunking the dog :)) (No, not really, animal cruelty advocates!)  Cannot get enough of the sun and the gentle breeze on my skin. I feel like I'm shedding.
We haven't had any real food for two days, because I made a dipping we tasted at a friend's place once, made of sour cream, mouldy cheese, chilly peppers, young onions and red pepper powder (plus a bit of other stuff, though I skipped the avocado) and we went though two bags of nachos like a train.
The tattooing's been postponed for a week, though I am all set and thrilled about it and I did most of the portrait project I have to submit tomorrow. I'm also doodling around with photoshop and some of the old pickies, because I cannot play Angry Birds anymore, because I'll bite through the keyboard any minute now. I wrote a haiku to support Japan in this trying hour and I am writing a crime short story, though I haven't gotten past the crime so far. A serial killer in Celje? Really?
