Bled roadtrip

Been EONS since I've driven for so long and so far and in such ridiculously (cold and) colorful weather. Man, Kodak moments galore indeed! I'm thinking about starting a new blog just about the travels, so I don't have to stick 40 pictures in this one every time I walk out of the door in sunlight :P I'll b sure to note if I do :))

Bled is one of those super picturesque places with lots of posh old villas and spas and casinos and lake birds and the like, that has been photoed five gazillion times, but hey. Hasn't everything pretty? :p And Mags hasn't been to Kranjska gora yet, which is famous among any ski enthusiast, so we included those ends in our route. I drove so nicely, having gotten lost only twice and indeed wish we would have had a bigger car so as to be able to take more people and at least one more dog :)))

Here are some, oh, two dozen or so pickies of nothing too original and oh so fun to take ::D

 * This isn't a swan egg, it's a really cool dinosaur chewing gum :P But it seemed fitting :))

The geisha and the beast :p

A great weekend with lots of sun, walks, dogs and net surfing/drooling.... :P  The family lunch proved to be one of the more pleasant ever and I'm hyped listening to the How to Train Your Dragon OST while strolling. Have two projects to finish till Tuesday and on Tuesday we go to Bled. If I am void until then, you'll know I'm a busy bee :p

Masquerade came and went and apart from two bites of a celebration doughnut, I didn't much make of it. I'm in between the need for it, I guess :P

 And the beasts
.... :P

Movies update

I FINALLY found the Korean TV comedy that I've seen once a long time ago and then could never find it again (mainly cause I didn't know what it was called.) Well, it's called Couple or Trouble. Downloading what I can now :))

Also watched Tron and then just listened to it, because even though the visual are super cool, the music is what did it for me in this project. Especially those deep, ugly, machine's breathing tones, like when at first the 'police' comes to get the 'rogue program/Sam'...  Well done, Daft Punk. I got a tummy ache (if I had to bet money, I'd say I managed to clog my intestine with all that seedy, healthy food. Blewch :s)

But How to Train Your Dragon is beyond cool. I wept for the most of it and then just stared at it for the other bits, laughed, cheered and jumped around. I kept squeezing Starbark so badly her kidneys came out of her ears from time to time. I just loved it. Loved the music, loved the voiced, LOVED the story. I should probably invoke the spirit of Tove Janssen and my own lore and come up with a story like this. Something really basic and transcendent. About how, when you are fighting for something you believe in, you really don't feel fear or weakness. That was so so lovely.

PS
While browsing for the wallpapers, I found this pic of a Chinese earthquake reportage. Pretty dam great pic. Dunno the author, sorry.

I think I may have *dreamed* of smells for the first time in my life that I'm aware of. I kept waking up, thinking General's tattoo has gone putrid and everything reeks of rotting tattoo ink... I actually woke him up few minutes before the alarm and told him I'll disinfect the spot again before he goes to work and when we checked the tattoo it was perfect, not even red and not at all smelling of anything but vaseline we coated it in... Funny, how thorough the night, I kept smelling it so awful...

But on the good side, now the sun rises at 6:3o and Starbark and I can skip out for a morning walk and be back by lots before 8-ish. That's almost excellent. Soon I'll be able to go on my walks at 5 and be back by 6 and THEN do my WoW dailies :)) Miss summer! Miss it!!

Oh, for the love of all that's sweet and sticky, you can even play Plants Vs. Zombies perfectly on it?!!!!

LoL, you know, you can't ever get to me with perfumes and jewelry and flowers and clothes and spa weekends and suchlike (though of course you get points for trying), but surprise me with a gadget and I'm  over the moon :D

Snufkin and iPad2

I took a train today, for no other reason than to ride it short-while with a friend I haven't seen in a long time. One of those people that you can meet and talk to as if no time has passed between us at all. In the end we both came to the same conclusion: winter is no longer welcomed, we, photographers, want spring!! And then we had lots of good tea :P

New Snufkin stuff, for those of you who are as impressed as me :))
http://casualtycosplay.blogspot.com/2011/03/there-is-no-spring-without-snufkin.html

And the second generation iPad launched yesterday... Alas, still no USB port. That said, it sure is a little tablet that could. I'm guessing that with it's little help, I could not only add tattoo artist on my list of 'nutty stuff I'm good at' but also film-making :))

Also, non-related, there's a really good sex scene between Erica and Hobbes in the latest episode of V. Man those people look good. I'd sell my first-born to get stuck between them  :P  (Joke!)

The Omega Underlined

Not only there are more pics of Snufkin from Casual Cosplay and I may have annother comission, but the General walked over to me when he was bored and said: I'm bored. Tattoo me. I don't care what or where, just pick something. So I set everything up and decided to put one of my favorite unrealized tattoos: the Omega Underlined, over one of his old army/navy anchor ones. Not that I wasn't scared a bit, but this man appears to be even crazier than I am, so we got to it. It turns out, it's super easy. I does look a bit wierd and I did feel a bit sick at first, afraid he might be suffering, but he never even blinked - in fact he kept licking my neck and nibbling me, the dumb suicidal little nuthead. He's ordering me more stuff now. I may need a thicker grip. Our next leson will be shading - as if shadowwing and fading... The one thing you have to be super careful with, though, is being super careful. The needles are absurdly exact and if you mess up, it shows like there's no tomorrow..
It's amazing how quick this stuff happens. About ten minutes to draw the design, about ten minutes to set everything up and about ten minutes to do the craft... And you're set for life. Honestly. I could be charging for this!   O.o

General's gone off to one of his night shifts, as today the horde is handling pensions and that means a whole new level of chaos, and I cannot go back to sleep without him. 3am is a little early even for me, but as all my errands fall into the morning part of the day, when I am fit no matter what, I'll just rise and finish the showdown on my tale of love and voe and lots of photos in North Korea, featuring the good-enough-to-eat Kim Samiho... Sex with the General last night was perfect to inspire me to write why and how things went wrong between the characters, due to one vehement and passionate night under the stars. It truly goes to show that the men which are most dangerous and most to themselves, are the best when you get them alone for a few minutes. But after that, all Hell breaks lose and if one is not able to handle it, then stay the fuck out of North Korea.
